The Redeemed Christian Church of God has helped some patients at the Ikorodu General Hospital and the Ijede General Hospital, Ikorodu, to settle their medical bills.

According to a statement by the church, the gesture was a part of the celebrations of the church’s 70th anniversary.

The statement read, “The church authorities, through Pastor Nathaniel Adejuwon, Region 26, have decided to help patients in view of growing concerns and reports of indigent patients not being able to settle their medical bills thereby experiencing excruciating pains and embarrassments.

“Reports have it that some patients in the emergency and intensive care units cannot afford medical bills. While presenting the cheques to the hospital management, the head of the RCCG visiting team led by Pastor Nathaniel Adejuwon said the gesture is also part of the Church’s Christian Social Responsibility.

“Receiving the cheque, the Medical Director of the Ikorodu General Hospital, Dr Taiwo Hassan, thanked the Church for their love for humanity and the community.

“A similar cheque was presented to Ijede General Hospital which was received by Deputy Medical Director, Dr Olumuyiwa Balogun-Oluwa.
