The Nigerian Communication Commission in partnership with stakeholders celebrated World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTSID).

The WTSID is an annual event that helps to create awareness about the benefits of telecommunications. The commemoration also aimed at bridging the digital divide.

According to NCC, the objective of this year’s celebration, “Digital Technologies for Older Persons and Healthy Ageing”, is aimed at ensuring technology remains socially inclusive for the elderly and the aging.

It also aimed at ensuring that older people utilize digital technologies to maintain healthy and productive lives.

With the slogan-Join the NCC in celebrating the 2022 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day it was marked with fanfare at it’s Corporate head office in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
