The Executive Chairman, Iba LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril, has procured one hundred General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to indigent residents/inhabitants in Senior Secondary School in the area, as part of his incentives as mentioned during the electioneering campaign, the G.C.E distribution is part of his Educational Initiative Support Scheme (EISS).
The distribution of the forms took place earlier today Tuesday, 30th of August, 2022 at the Council secretariat, Ayoka, Iba Town, Iba LCDA.
The exercise took place with a screening process to allow and avail opportunities to only eligible beneficiaries who are truly in need.
While, presenting the forms to the students, the Council Mayor, *Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril ABILA* mentioned that the beneficiaries were drawn from all ethnic groups in the area, without gender sentiments or indigenous biasness.
He observed that _”Education is key and the only way you can give that to the people is to give opportunities to everyone willing to study and make sure they are well educated and equally equipped, as you’re seeing today”_, *Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA)* stated.
The Educational Initiative Support Scheme (EISS) is an annual project, while, disclosing that the maiden edition was held last year and it was clarified visibly that the distribution was restricted to only students under Iba LCDA.
