The lawmaker representing Oshodi/Isolo constituency 1 at the Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon. Olusola Sokunle, has said no amount of blackmail by the opposition would deter his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sokunle stated that it was in the imagination of the naysayers to believe that they could mar his hard earn reputation by sponsoring media attack on his personality, saying that their hatchet job has failed and dead on arrival.
The lawmaker made this known in a statement he personally signed and made available to the journalists in Oshodi, Lagos.
The Chairman, House Committee On Health Services explained that the victory of all the APC candidates in the coming 2023 general elections is non-negotiable, adding that the party has the pedigree to win with ease in Lagos and Nigeria at large.
” It is quite unfortunate that some elements in the political corridor have decided to smear my image by concocting and fabricating lies that I am working against the interest of the party candidates. This should be seen as tissue of lies without iota of facts. They went on to say I sponsored media reports against the party’s candidates without proof.
” All their intentions is to create chaos, havoc and discord within the APC stakeholders in Oshodi and create impression that myself and my political structure are working against our performing governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, our leader and father, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Assembly and State Assembly candidates. It is obvious, this lie has failed to yield all these agenda.
” The media attack against me is unnecessary because it would create distraction for the party and the electorates. This is uncalled for at this period that we need to start mobilisation and preach the gospel of our candidates to the voters.
” Our party, APC, is a winning brand with winning candidates across board. Our achievements in Lagos and federal level in all ramifications better that of PDP 16years misrule. Tinubu is our hope in Nigeria and Sanwo-Olu is the performer of wonders who understands public governace”, said Sokunle.
Freedom Post reports that he however, reiterated his loyalty and commitment to the leadership of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.
The lawmaker urged the people to disregard the sponsored reports against him, saying that such should be expected in this political season from distractions who do not mean well for the party.
